LOWCOUNTRY AIR QUALITY STUDY

Participants needed
Participants are needed for a Roswell Park Cancer Institute air quality study of Charleston area apartment buildings. Air quality is being measured in both smoke-free and smoking allowed buildings. Testing will measure the level of tobacco smoke pollution. Compensation will be provided for participation of eligible residents.

Registration Open for SCCA Meeting
Registration is now open for the SC Cancer Alliance mid-year membership meeting, The Quality of Life Continuum: From Palliative Care to Survivorship. The meeting will take place on Friday, April 11th from 8:00am to 4:30pm in Columbia. Speakers will cover such topics as survivorship planning in our rural communities; quality of life issues in minority populations; and palliative care issues in our present day.  SCCA Calls for LOIs
The South Carolina Cancer Alliance will award up to $120,000 for selected implementation projects to be conducted between July 1, 2014 and June 15, 2015. The grant process includes two steps. First, interested applicants submit a letter of intent following the guidelines outlined. SCCA staff and the Coordinating Council of the SCCA, will review submitted letters of intent and ask selected applicants to submit full applications.
