GREAT AMERICAN SMOKEOUT
Help smokers quit on Nov. 21

This Thursday, the American Cancer Society and the SC Tobacco-Free Collaborative encourage smokers to mark the Great American Smokeout by quitting or making a plan to quit.

Tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the US yet nearly one in five adults continues to smoke.

Many resources are available to those who wish to quit using tobacco. The American Cancer Society can provide information on tools by calling 1-800-227-2345. Information is also available online. There's even a zombie smokeout mobile game! Another resource is the S.C. Tobacco Quitline, 1-800-QUIT-NOW (784-8669). Learn more about the quitline.
