CIGARETTE TAX REVENUE
The cigarette tax is working!

According to the Tax Burden on Tobacco (2012), cigarette tax revenue in South Carolina has increased while pack sales have decreased. Compared to fiscal year 2010 cigarette tax revenue figures, 2011 revenue increased more than 500% and 2012 cigarette tax revenue increased more than 600%. Inversely, compared to fiscal year 2010, cigarette pack sales decreased 16% in 2011 and 25% in 2012.
