| WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY | |
Takes place May 31st 
May 31st marks World No Tobacco Day. This event was created by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1987 to highlight the worldwide toll of tobacco use. Tobacco use kills nearly six million people each year. The theme this year is focused on global tobacco advertising, promotion, and sponsorship.  2013 SC Tobacco-Free Campus Summit to be held in October
The SC Tobacco-Free Campus Summit will provide colleges and universities with the information, tools and resources to successfully begin and implement the process for a tobacco-free campus policy.
The summit will include national and local speakers, an expert panel, exhibitors and a recognition ceremony for campuses that have already implemented a tobacco-free policy.
The summit will take place on October 17th from 8:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. The summit will be held at the Russell House Ballroom at USC Columbia. This is a free event.

SCTFC's new location
The South Carolina Tobacco-Free Collaborative is moving on up...literally. We recently moved up two floors in our office building. You can now find us at 2711 Middleburg Drive, Suite 312 in Columbia.
We also have new neighbors! SCTFC is now housed with the South Carolina Cancer Alliance. |
