In the 1980's, tobacco industry researcher, Victor DeNoble, learned that tobacco is addictive.
In a true act of modern-day heroism, he took a risk and went public with the knowledge.
His action prompted an unprecedented alliance of journalists, politicians, attorneys, and whistle-blowers to achieve what was once considered impossible:
the first ever federal regulation of the tobacco industry.
