Manufacturing Day is October 4!
| |
Host an event to showcase modern manufacturing
Host a Manufacturing Day event to showcase what modern American manufacturing is all about: technology-driven innovative products, rewarding careers, and a key contributor to the economy.
Manufacturing Day, sponsored by NIST MEP, the National Association of Manufacturers, the Manufacturing Institute and the Science Channel, among others, highlights the importance of manufacturing through open houses, educational forums, career workshops and other events.
Manufacturers, business support agencies, and educational institutions are encouraged to host events to increase public awareness of manufacturing importance, highlight the many rewarding high-skill careers in manufacturing fields, and connect with future generations.
Event suggestions:
- Manufacturer Open Houses to showcase products, manufacturing processes, and employees
- Manufacturing tours for grade school, high school, and college students
- Career workshops
- Public agency seminars on resources available to manufacturers
CAMT will promote events registered on www.mfgday.com through the CAMT website, e-mail communications, social media, and media relations efforts. To learn more about Manufacturing Day and events in your area, as well as to find resources and tips to plan your own event, visit the Manufacturing Day website.
