In March of this year, the U.S. Supreme Court in the case of Kirtsaeng vs. John Wiley & Sons Inc. ruled that copyright law could not be used to stop gray-market imports. After this case, manufacturers assumed that their rights to stop gray-market goods had been severely limited.
But is this true? Have manufacturers really lost their remedies against gray-market goods? The answer is no. Many companies have successfully brought cases against gray-market sellers by using trademark law instead of copyright law.

LED technology is moving very quickly, bringing increasing heating issues. We designed a simple but evolvable copper heat sink manufacturing process that allows us to keep up with these changes.
How is your company advancing your industry?
A significant barrier to the adoption of LED lighting is the lack of good dimmable powering that can interface with existing conventional lighting equipment. OIC is working on developing a flexible microprocessor based power controller that will answer this problem.
