Patenting Just Got Easier

New Denver USPTO Office & IP Assessment Tool

IP Patented Graphic The first three patent judges assigned to the new United States Patent and Trademark (USPTO) Denver satellite office began their first day on the job Monday.  The Denver satellite office aims to function as a hub of innovation and creativity, allowing the USPTO to better serve entrepreneurs and companies in the region by getting them the patents they need so that they can attract capital, put their business or product plans into action, and help create more good-paying jobs.

Patents are a significant factor in private sector job creation. In fact, the U.S. Commerce Department issued a report last summer finding that IP-intensive industries are the source - directly or indirectly - of 40 million jobs, contributing $5.06 trillion to the U.S. economy in 2010. Learn more about the USPTO Office in the Denver Post.

Not sure if your product or technology is patentable? The USPTO and NIST MEP recently unveiled a new version of the IP Awareness Assessment Tool, which can help manufacturers and small businesses identify potential IP assets. Check out the IP Assessment Tool here.
