Seattle Sounders FC - A Sneak Peak Behind the Team:
How to create optimal team performance
Wednesday, April 15
11:30-1:00 pm
SLU Discovery Center
101 Westlake Ave N
reg

Business in South Lake Union are growing faster than ever. Learning how to recruit, retain and motivate teams is more critical than ever and who knows better about team environments than our very own  Sounders FC!

Join us for an afternoon of networking, delicious lunch from Homegrown and a very special "Behind the Team" presentation on sports science and player identification from Chris Henderson, Sounders FC Sporting Director!

Get insights into things fans don't see in the news and learn about how they find talent and monitor players for optimal performance. This talk will motivate and inspire you with insights on how you can drive your team towards a "championship" year.

As Sporting Director, Henderson assists the team's general manager, Adrian Hanauer, in all areas of soccer operations, including scouting, player management, coaching decisions and the youth system. Under the leadership of Hanauer and Henderson, the Sounders FC achieved instant success from the start. Seattle became the first MLS club to win three-consecutive Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup titles (2009, 2010, 2011) and advanced to a fourth straight final in 2012. Seattle also became the first MLS expansion team since the league began expanding in 2005 to reach the playoffs in each of its first five seasons, and is one of just three teams (LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake) to qualify for the postseason each of the past five years.

Help Shape Seattle's Transportation Future

The Transportation Levy to Move Seattle was introduced by Mayor Ed Murray last month. The proposed nine-year, $900 million levy will take care of the basics, maintaining our streets, bridges, and sidewalks, while also investing in the future with improvements that give us more transportation choices to move growing numbers of people efficiently and reliably through our city and between our neighborhoods.

Fill out this 5 minute survey to tell the City of Seattle about your transportation funding priorities.  The feedback we receive will help to inform the final Transportation Levy to Move Seattle developed by Mayor Ed Murray that will be submitted to City Council later this spring.
