Many of these unique vessels were built here, on the shores of Puget Sound, as Seattle was coming into its own as  a city. Look for them coming over from the Fishermen's Terminal in parade on Thursday, February 13th. Amazon Buys Another Block in Denny Triangle

Amazon.com exercised an option Friday to buy nearly an entire city block next to its future high-rise campus in Denny Triangle, paying Seattle's Clise Properties $52.2 million, public records show. The block, bounded by Seventh and Eighth avenues and Bell and Blanchard streets, is currently home to Budget Car Rental, the Hurricane Cafe, parking lots and a former motel leased to Cornish College of the Arts. Seattle Times has the full story.

Member Tip: The 3 Second Rule to Networking

As soon as you enter a room of people start a conversation with the first person you see within the first 3 seconds. Do not hesitate. Don't look for somebody you know. It doesn't matter who you approach, just go talk to somebody.

The goal here is to build confidence, get outside 'your head' and build the habit of proactively meeting people. A good place to start is at the registration desk. Try and view this as the "warm up." Use this opportunity to speak to the person beside you as you sign in or receive your name tag.

Retailer of the Month: Caffe Torino

Caffe Torino, wants you to feel the warmth and taste the flavors of the beautiful Northern Italian city of its
namesake. The spirit of the region with its complex history and traditions is what they have captured, in their own way. In addition to great food and coffee, Caffe Torino hosts an Arte & Vino series, and opportunities to brush up on your Italian.
