Pledge to Vote for Homes for Vets!
The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) is participating in the Home Depot Foundation's Facebook contest to raise up to $250,000 to help pay for the construction of new homes and to provide supportive services to the homeless veterans moving off the streets into LIHI apartments to ensure they become more stable and self-sufficient and no longer risk returning to homelessness. Learn more about how easy it is to vote every day in May.

Public AffairsThe neighborhood rezone sets the stage for South Lake Union to absorb 12,000 households and 22,000 jobs over the next 20 years. Council formal approval is expected on May 6th. Stay tuned.
The SLU Chamber Board has recently sent a letter of support to Seattle City Council for both the Ballard-Ship Canal Crossing-SLU and the University District-Eastlake-SLU high capacity transit corridor studies. Money spent for planning now by the City will put us in a better position to compete for federal grants down the road.
