 Houston Mayoral Forum

 
At the much talked-about event, over 200 guests attended the June 11 Mayoral Forum held at Asia Society.  Moderated by Lisa Tripani Shumate of Houston Public Media, the candidates answered questions from the audience ranging from each candidates' vision for Houston, business development, and Houston's role in the global economy.  More photos from the event can be viewed here.

    ACC Scholarship Luncheon

 
The Asian Chamber of Commerce is committed to education.  For over 10 years, the Chamber has given more than 100 scholarships to local High School students who have shown excellence.  Held at the Crown Plaza Suites, the Chamber and the ACC Scholarship Foundation awarded two inspiring teachers Crystal Xu and Dr. Noemi Frias and 10 high school students.

David D. Schein presented two workshops on employment law and HR topics in San Antonio for the National Meeting of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association. David is Director of Graduate Programs for the University of St. Thomas Cameron School of Business.

At the FIABCI World Congress in Malaysia, MaiLan Trinh was elected International Real Estate Federation - US Chapter (FIABCI-USA) Vice President of Legislation and Environment for 2015 -2017.

 

David Kim has been selected as a 2015 Marshall Memorial Fellow.  He is one of 34 fellows from the United States in this year's class.  The other 42 fellows are from over 20 European countries.   Purpose is to promote transatlantic relations through shared experiences that lead to innovative solutions to common challenges. Fellows were selected from 700 nominations across 39 countries in a highly competitive process, with just 10 percent of nominated candidates selected for this prestigious fellowship.

The Texas A & M MBA class will be visiting Vietnam and Tu Dao, Dao CPA and lifetime member, Trung Doan, Studio Red Architects, spoke about Vietnamese culture and doing business in Vietnam.
