Veteran's Day just passed so it is a perfect time to talk about Trans men and women in the military.
The topic this week focused around the current rules concerning trans people in the military, which bar trans people from serving in the USA.

Tuesday Adam talks about how being Transgender affects people in the military, especially in the United States where you cannot serve and be trans.

This weeks organization is a little bit different, but really cool! Fiona Dawson is an independent film maker who has been working on a documentary about transgender people in the military. Dawson has been working on this documentary for over 2 years now. Their goal is to document and share service members stories to show the world the brutal discrimination that transgender veterans go through.

Thursday Karen talks about her first-hand experience in the military and how being trans affected her life in the armed forces.

| Being trans and in the military is a serious issue that needs to be changed in many countries like the USA. |
It is estimated that 2/3rds of our online communities are either not out yet or stealth. Of that, almost a 1/3 are in the closet because they feel they would be in danger, or they don't have the resources necessary to transition.
