LGBT Pride is a massive event held by the entire community that puts the issue of LGBT right in front of the public at large, allows the community to congregate in a public safe space, and ultimately make a place for LGBT+ people to be themselves.  

For Transgender teens coming out brand new,  this event can often be a tipping point in their transition from an awkward feeling about who they are,  to one of being a part of a community and being comfortable with who they are.
