Massachusetts Posting Requirement Effective April 7, 2015
Massachusetts has a new posting requirement for the Act Relative to Parental Leave, which took effect April 7, 2015. Under the new Parental Leave Act, an employer must provide leave to men on the same terms and conditions as leave for women, making parental leave gender neutral.

Massachusetts Releases Proposed Regulations for Earned Sick Leave
The Massachusetts Attorney General's Office (AGO) has issued proposed regulations for the new Earned Sick Time law approved by voters last November. Effective July 1, 2015, Massachusetts employers must allow employees to take time off from work to address their health and safety needs or, in some cases, to care for sick family members, without losing pay.

California Mandatory Sick Time Law Effective July 1, 2015
The state of California has enacted a Paid Sick Leave Law, requiring that virtually all California employees must be offered paid sick leave. The law takes effect July 1, 2015. Read More |

Philadelphia Paid Sick Leave Law Effective May 3, 2015
Philadelphia has enacted a Paid Sick Leave Law, requiring that most Philadelphia employers provide paid sick leave to their employees. The law takes effect May 13, 2015.
