January/February 2014
Tuesday February 18 - Friday February 21
9am - 3pm

(Club will open by 8am, students must be picked up by 3:30.)

Join us for an awesome four-day fencing clinic!  Beginners through intermediate level fencers age 8-14.
(Younger experienced fencers may participate with coach's okay.)

New fencers will learn fencing basics, experienced fencers will improve their skills.  There will be lots of fencing time and an opportunity to fence all three weapons.

In addition to fencing, we will have warm-up games and exercises to improve balance, agility, hand-eye coordination and tactical thinking. Basic equipment trouble-shooting and armoring skills will also be covered.

Learn to juggle!  Juggling is a skill that compliments fencing -- students will learn basic juggling techniques and will make their own set of juggling balls.

There will be a variety of board games available for use during lunch breaks, including Chess, Checkers, Stratego, Risk and Battleship.  We ask that students leave electronic games at home.

Students should bring a lunch and snacks each day, and wear athletic clothing, including clean, dry sneakers.

Cost: $375 if registered and paid by January 31st
(free clinic t-shirt)

After January 31st cost is $400
(Plus $15 if you'd like a t-shirt)

Can't make all four days?
Pay $100 per day (t-shirt not included)
USA Fencing membership required.

winterWinter Weather Reminders
Winter Closing Information
We don't like to give in to the weather, but when it is necessary to close due to weather conditions, we will post announcements on our web site, face book page and answering machine, as well as sending out an email.

Dry Shoes Please
Please, no outside shoes on the fencing floor!  Salt, sand and water can be hazardous, and makes it harder to keep the place clean.  Bring a pair of clean, dry sneakers to change into when you come to fence -- your footwork will thank you!
