Top 5 things you didn't know about your Washington PTAC team

By program director Tiffany Scroggs

Washington PTAC counselors are ready to help businesses find, bid and win government contracts and subcontracts

1. There are several former government contracting officers on the team with a collective experience of over 50 years!

Your Washington PTAC counseling team is highly qualified to answer your government contracting questions and challenges. Best of all, there is no question too small or big for your local counselor. In the event we encounter a challenge we haven't seen before we reach out to our network of 400 other counselors across the nation for support.

2. Washington PTAC offers services at no cost, but requires you to report awards.

Funding for the high quality assistance provided by PTAC is provided by the Federal government and many other local partners. To keep Washington PTAC fully funded, report your success each quarter. This data is collected in an aggregate fashion and reported to funders and other stakeholders. This week businesses that have been assisted by PTAC will be receiving the quarterly request for award report.  Please take a moment to fill this online form out. Or, feel free to send us a quick email with your recent successes!

3. We assist with more than SAM.gov

While our team members are experts in the System for Award Management, our service offering extends far beyond government registrations. Work with your PTAC Counselor in order to find government opportunities, to bid on solicitations, and much more!

4PTAC can connect you to government opportunities automatically through Bid Match
Bid Match searches over 2,000 websites to find local, state, and federal government procurement opportunities and sends you a daily email of opportunities that match what you do. The service is just $135/year. We offer a free trial of 30 days to see if the system is a good fit for your needs.

5. PTAC seeks to be innovative and responsive!

If there is something you need whether it be a referral to one of our resource partners or specialized training on a specific topic, PTAC wants to know about it.  We are constantly seeking new and improved ways to meet the needs of Washington businesses. Put PTAC to work for your firm and win more government contracts!
