East Bay MUD Request for Prequalification
The East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) is seeking qualified firms to submit an application for prequalification of Electrical Contractors and Subcontractors. All electrical contractors and subcontractors that intend to submit a bid to EBMUD or a prime contractor to perform certain identified electrical work for selected EBMUD projects are now required to complete the prequalification questionnaire and provide all requested materials, and must be approved by EBMUD to be on the final qualified bidders list. No bid that includes an electrical contractor or subcontractor that has failed to comply with these requirements will be accepted. If two or more business entities submit a bid as part of a Joint Venture, or expect to submit a bid as part of a Joint Venture, each entity within the Joint Venture must be separately qualified to bid. More information is contained in the attached Request for Prequalification document.

Independence Day Safety Tips
On Monday, July 4th, thousands of Americans will celebrate America's Birthday. The celebration will include festivals, parades, cookouts, lots of other fun activities, and of course fireworks. We love to attend fireworks events and "ooh and ahh" at the beauty of the display. However, fireworks are not safe in the hands of consumers and can cause serious injury if not used properly. Our NECA/IBEW Safety Committee urges all of us to be safe, and has provided some helpful hints. Please see the attached and enjoy your 4th of July celebration safely.
