Spring General Member Meeting
Tuesday, April 7th...Tomorrow
We're looking forward to our Spring General Membership event tomorrow evening at 5PM at Dublin Ranch Golf Club & Resort. Eight of our affiliate partners will be present to display and talk about their product and services to benefit our contractor members. Greg Long, Long Electric and Chair of Electri International, will talk to us about the recently published Change Order Research. Greg has been advocating for change order reform and the Electri publication validates the need for critically needed change order legislation. You wont' want to miss what Greg has to say.
Over 60 have confirmed their attendance, but there's still room for you! Contact Juanita Mitchell today to let her know you will join us.
In line with that.... a contractors and NECA staff are heading to Sacramento for our annual Day at the Capitol on April 22nd, where our top priority will be talking about how change orders have affected business, and advocating for recently introduced change order legislation, AB-1347. It's not too late for you to join us. Contact Julie Russell for more information.

Take Action
Write Your Member of Congress Today
The Partnership to Build America Act would fund infrastructure projects in the United States without government spending. The bill would allow U.S. companies to bring back overseas earnings at a lower tax rate, then that money would in turn be invested in low-interest bonds, which will be leveraged to $750 billion for infrastructure financing. One of NECA's top legislative priorities is investing in our Nation's infrastructure, and this legislation would help fund needed projects, create jobs, and grow the economy.
Repeal of the burdensome estate tax is also one of NECA's top legislative priorities. NECA believes Congress should support family-owned businesses instead of penalize them. On March 3, NECA-supported H.R. 1105, the Death Tax Repeal Act of 2015, was introduced.
