Delta Land Services Awarded Major Wetland Contract for Sasol's Lake Charles Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) and Ethane Cracker Complex
Delta Land Services, L.L.C. (Delta) was recently selected by Sasol North America Inc. to provide a comprehensive wetland mitigation solution to compensate for permitted wetland impacts as required under section 404 of the Clean Water Act. The mitigation solution will offset impacts associated with the construction of Sasol's ethane cracker and GTL projects in Westlake, LA. The restoration and preservation of Delta's South Fork Mitigation Area will serve as the mitigation site for the project.  The approximate 2,000-acre parcel of land is located in the cusp of the coastal prairie and coastal marsh of Southwest Louisiana.
Delta to Expand its Project Footprint to Southwest Louisiana
Delta's project footprint continues to expand with the anticipated growth of the energy sector in Southwest Louisiana.  With transporters and developers currently using our services, Delta's primary focus has been to anticipate industry growth in key areas; so that potential end-users can meet their permit requirements quickly and without difficulty.

The acquisition of two mitigation sites in Calcasieu and Cameron Parishes will strategically position Delta as a premier mitigation provider in Southwest Louisiana.  The Moss Lake Mitigation Bank and is currently in the beginning processes of Corps permitting; and the South Fork Coastal Mitigation Area is currently available to provide permit applicants with a customized mitigation solution, with plans to submit a banking instrument before year's end. Upon bank approval, Delta will be able provide permittees with bottomland hardwood, coastal bottomland hardwood and coastal freshwater emergent marsh credits in Cameron and Calcasieu Parishes.

Delta Introduces a Coastal Mitigation Site in Southeast Louisiana
Delta is happy to finally announce its expansion into the Louisiana Coastal Zone in Southeast Louisiana.  The Laurel Valley Coastal Mitigation Bank is the newest addition to Delta's project footprint.  Located in Lafourche Parish, the site will be able to provide permit applicants with bottomland hardwood and cypress credit for both LDNR and USACE permits.  For immediate use and until the bank is approved, the Laurel Valley Coastal Mitigation Area is available to serve as Permittee-Responsible Mitigation (PRM) for impacts within its proposed service area.

Coming Soon - A Delta Mitigation Bank in Louisiana's Atchafalaya Watershed

The Pending Bayou Fisher Mitigation Bank will be the first of its kind.  With no banks currently approved in the Atchafalaya Watershed, Delta is excited to introduce a site that can finally provide permit applicants with in-kind and in-watershed mitigation.  The bank is in the beginning stages of permit review; however, Delta can review immediate needs from permit applicants with the possibility of providing a customized mitigation plan.

SHORE|LINKSŪ - New Rehabilitation and Erosion Prevention Project on the Horizon

Shorelinks_ShadowCreekProject
SHADOW CREEK RANCH PROJECT
Construction is scheduled to begin October 7, 2013
Completion is estimated on December 9, 2013

Delta Land Services is providing SHORE|LINKSŪ material for the rehabilitation of
side slopes for (7) detention ponds located in Pearland, Texas. Parties involved in the project with Delta are the Brazoria-Fort Bend County MUD # 1 (Municipal Utility District #1), Shadow Creek Ranch, and LJA Engineering, Inc.

SHORE|LINKSŪ will be utilized in (3) different areas of the side slopes to prevent further erosion. At the toe of the concrete side slope, SHORE|LINKSŪ logs will be place below the concrete pavement and staked to dissipate wave energy and prevent further undercutting. Several rectangle planters, located in the centers of the concrete side slope will be tiled with individual SHORE|LINKSŪ to entrap sediments and prevent further erosion. The tops edges of the concrete side slopes that show damage and loss of soil and vegetation from erosion will be protected with individual SHORE|LINKSŪ allowing it to vegetate and stabilize the top area of the pond shoreline.

Total linear feet for this project is 24,500 feet and SHORE|LINKSŪ material include 4,114 SHORE|LINKSŪ logs and 7,899 SHORE|LINKSŪ units.
