"My life has been the poem I would have writ, But I could not both live and utter it." ~Henry David Thoreau
Thoreau has always been a particular favorite of mine, and my excuse for not sending out Notes & Notables for the past two months is well summed up with his statement. We have been very, very busy connecting community, history and life! It has been a wonderful couple of months and November and December also hold the promise of excitement and activity.
Please share this newsletter with those who may be interested, and with those who may not even know we exist! Word of Mouth is our best publicity, so hit that forward button for us, and spread the word!
Sincerely - Rebecca Suddeth, Executive Director

ATOM is BACK
The Aluminum Tree & Ornament Museum (ATOM) is dedicated to vintage aluminum Christmas trees. It will be taking over the space at the Transylvania Heritage Museum this holiday season with dozens of trees and vintage ornaments displayed in whimsical themes, including displays dedicated to Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, and even William and Kate. Color wheels turn to provide the light show. It is sure to be the highlight of a December Brevard visit.
The ATOM Exhibit kicks off with a Tacky Sweater Party on Friday, Nov. 28, 5:00-7:00 p.m. during the 4th Friday Gallery Walk. The exhibit will run December 3rd - 20th with special Museum hours of noon-7:00 pm.

2014 Ghost Tours
The Museum was very pleased to participate in Brevard's Halloweenfest by offering Ghost Tours during the evening. We had very good guides and some talented storytellers to help make the evening a success! We look forward to doing this again next year.
