Greetings! 

This year, honoring the men and women who have served in our military and died for our country is more emotional for me than in previous years.  My baby - my 18 year old baby - has enlisted to serve and protect (and die for) our country.  Given the state of affairs our world is in, this is especially scary for this momma.  However, no matter how worried I am for his safety, I am incredibly proud of him too.  It takes great courage to make this decision and I am extremely grateful for him and all the selfless men and women who have made this decision.

Just as this is the time to enjoy feeling protected, our article this month is about protecting our computers and vital information ... which for us virtual support people is a critical action to take.

Protect Our Businesses and Our Nation

With Memorial Day upon us (the day we celebrate the lives of the men and women who died protecting our freedom as a nation), there is no better time for us as a business to recognize the importance of protecting our computer data, phones and other electronic devices we use every day.

Cyber threats are ever evolving! Just look at this article online from President Obama. One big point made in the article was on enabling Cyber security information sharing:  by requesting private entities to comply with certain privacy restrictions - such as removing unnecessary personal information and taking appropriate measures to protect any personal information that must be shared - in order to qualify for liability protection.

Given the world we live in today 'Cyber threats are on the rise 'and making sure that you have system updates is crucial, as new viruses are created all the time. I learned the hard way...
