By the Light of the Moon               April 2014
Greetings!

This year's show is based off the elements and we will finally be seeing something other than snow. You wouldn't know it if you live in Wisconsin, but it is now officially spring.

Although break has come and passed for students, the troupe still has plenty to look forward to. With just five shows left you can expect more than the sun to be Hot! Hot! Hot!

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT:
Geno Hafermann
Gene "Geno" Hafermann was a tenor and roadie/technician during the 1968-69 years of the Wisconsin Singers and occasionally filled a slot in the '69-70 year. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering Structures in December of 1969, but continued to study at UW in order to complete his Masters of Science in Geodetic Surveying (a science that measures the earth's shape and size, as well as crust movement and magnetic fields).

SINGER SPOTLIGHT:
Sami Sobaski
Sami Sobaski is a senior Nursing major from South St. Paul, MN, who also happens to be in her fourth year as an alto with the Wisconsin Singers. What distinguishes Sami from much of the rest of the troupe is that she didn't sing and dance until she was 17. Prior to this she was active in competitive figure skating.

SINGERS NEWS:
Spring Break!

Spring break is always a spot on the Singers calendar that is circled each and every year.  I am sure that many of you can remember the Thursday evening bus load, all night pre Spring Break party, and the 4:30 AM load on Friday morning to get the trip underway!

CURRENT EVENT: Badger Men's Basketball

Wisconsin did almost everything it needed to do Saturday night to beat Kentucky.

But it was the Wildcats' specialist in late-game heroics and not the Badgers' own last-minute magician that hit the shot to win the game.
