First inspired by journalist and author James Surowiecki, who argues that an independent, faithfully aggregated and diverse crowd has an inherent wisdom, Predictive Markets taps into our social instincts and asks a crowd of participants to state whether they would buy or sell shares in a number of ideas. Launched in 2005 and ESOMAR Best Method Winner that same year, the new approach flew in the face of the then gold standard of monadic testing among targeted audiences. 

Ten years and 35,000 ideas later, Predictive Markets continues to accurately spot winning concepts with an unprecedented sensitivity, better distinguishing between winners and losers in the marketplace than other techniques.
