We're on the brink of a busy week, whether you're preparing to celebrate the arrival of the Winter Solstice (officially 11:48 p.m. ET on Tuesday) or to participate in your family's annual Airing of Grievances (Festivus comes but once a year: Dec. 23rd) or, of course, the last day of school before Break.
So, we'll keep this final HMXPress of 2015 short and sweet.
We wish everyone in our Hommocks community and families throughout the district the happiest, merriest and jolliest of holidays. Have a wonderful, restful, enjoyable break.
We look forward to kicking off 2016 -- a year that promises more special experiences to share and some exciting new PTA programming -- with all of you.
Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year.

Hommocks Middle School is lucky to have a relationship with The Guidance Center, a Westchester County counseling agency, which provides free counseling to low-income students.
If you would like to arrange for your child to receive free counseling from The Guidance Center's bilingual counselor, please call your child's guidance counselor. There are certain income and insurance requirements the Hommocks counselor can explain. This is a wonderful program that can further support your children within their school day.

From the Village of Mamaroneck Committee for the Environment (CFTE): The Village of Mamaroneck has launched its new Textiles Recycling Program and is looking for your old, shabby, stained clothes, linens, blankets, rags, towels, curtains and even socks with holes in them. Also shoes, handbags, belts, gloves, all too grubby to donate to a charity. Drop them off at the Village of Mamaroneck Textiles Recycling Station located in the parking lot of Toy Box at 300 W. Boston Post Road.
They will be recycled into useful products and also will lower our waste-disposal costs.
