Why does that color look so wrong?
It is usually poor choices of colors and they are phony looking.
Look for natural not unnatural color combinations. Like this home.
Beautiful color combination Have you ever noticed that the colors we see can be described simply in two different types of categories? Natural and unnatural. I noticed while shopping last weekend some really unattractive color combinations and I said to myself why oh why did someone think that looks good because looking at this is painful to my eyes. So let me give you a few tips of what to lookout for when you are making your color decisions.

Classic Exterior Colors
The first are the colors we see in nature all the beautiful things that we experience naturally every day or on a special vacation like the sun, sky, rain, flowers, foliage, animals, mountains, and oceans. That's why your designer will sometimes ask you where your favorite places to visit or travel are because you may be able to include that color scheme into your decorating plan.
What you need to avoid is the second category and that is artificial colors that you normally do not recognize in nature. They are usually lower cost materials synthetic pigment dyed that for some reason the colors are just plain ugly and always look fake or off.
