Sunday Services
Single 9 AM Service - Lessons and Carols
Rector's Reflections
Sing to God a new song!

Celebrating Lessons and Carols, an English Christmas tradition that began in 1878 and popularized by Kings College in Cambridge when, in 1918, it adopted the service and, in 1928, the BBC began broadcasting it and has continued doing so ever since. The service tells the story of Christ's birth with scripture readings and carols, beginning with Old Testament prophesies about the Messiah and which includes the Gospel accounts of Jesus' birth.

Join us Sunday, December 27th for one service at 9:00 am to hear and sing of Jesus, the bright Morning Star, shines light in the world. By day and night he shines for all to see. Jesus was born in the midst of injustice and poverty that the world may see the justice and richness of God. God so loved the world that God sent Jesus, so that all who believe in him may not perish but have eternal life. Jesus is the light of the world. Jesus is the light of our lives. Sing to God a new song! A song of hope, joy, and peace around the world.

Merry Christmas+
Bill

P.S. Thank you for the many kind expressions of Christmas wishes shared with Kay and I. The cards, notes, gifts and goodies are most appreciated!

Sharing God's Blessing
Welcome One Another

Jesus didn't turn people away, neither should we. We strive to keep doors open to all and that welcome embraces both those we invite to participate in our congregations, as well as those outside the church, with whom we work for God's justice and compassion. Who is welcome? God's children of different cultures, races, genders, ages, sexual orientations, abilities, economic situations, and theological traditions. It isn't always easy to be so open. The foundation for our open welcome is the gracious gift of love, freedom and justice given to us by God. In covenant with one another, we are called to seek a deeper beloved community. By inviting others to share in the reconciling work of God in the world we invite them into discipleship with Christ.
Lord & Tailor Christmas Closure
