Late

Due to a major power outage at the facility of the host site of our eNews, yesterday's email did not get sent. We are sorry for the delay but hope you will find this edition helpful, albeit late! Easter Blessings to all!

Easter Season Services

Good Friday (4/18) 7:30 pm 1st Congregational Church - All Saints has been invited to join in their service at the Pinckney Boathouse on Brewster Campus.

Easter Vigil, Saturday (4/19) at 7:00 pm The drama of the Great Vigil begins with a bonfire, a tradition started by St. Patrick of Ireland, and then proceeds into the darkened church for the procession of the Paschal Candle. Much of the service is conducted by candlelight symbolizing our waiting for the new light of Easter and ends with the reaffirmation of our baptismal vows and the first Eucharist of Easter. This will be a child friendly service with the bonfire and candles, lessons told as stories rather than read, shells for each child from the baptismal waters and a participatory Eucharist. We will be baptizing a baby during this year's service.

Easter Sunday (4/20) services will be at 8 am and 10 am, please come and enjoy the trumpet, music and the Easter peacock.

Thank You, Lynne!

A big THANK YOU to Lynne Slocum for the expert painting job in Holly's new office in the tower.

From the Music Corner

We journey together through this Holy Week, and now enter the  Paschal Triduum, or The Three Days. This is the period of three days that begins with the liturgy on the evening of Maundy Thursdaythe vigil of Good Fridayand ends with evening prayer on Easter SundayWe plan and attend services that help us recall the passiondeathburial, and resurrection of Jesus, as portrayed in the canonical Gospels.

May all the liturgy, music, Scriptures and prayers this weekend be for you a holy blessing, filling your whole being with Christ's passion and pilgrimage of wounding Love.

As the choir sang earlier this month,  "None other Lamb, none other Name....".   May your home in Him be one of comfort and peace in this Eastertide.

Soli Deo Gloria,

Holly

A Letter to the Parish from Our Youth Group

Dear Members of All Saints',

Our youth group mission trip was very successful. It was life changing and we all learned alot. We all made very deep connections with our leader Steve, as well as some of the other homeless there. Steve was the homeless man that brought us around the city. We want to thank everyone who donated clothes, food, and toiletries. We wish that you all could have seen the faces of the people that your items went to help improve their lives.

Thank you,

Natalie Rollins, Sarah Heath, Curtis Heath, Rebecca Coache, and Sam Coache

(There will be a video presentation of their trip between services on Sunday, May 18th at 9:30 a.m. in the parish hall.)
