Rev. Gail Avery

Please welcome Rev. Gail Avery this Sunday. She is supplying for Ted while he is in Ireland.

Annual Meeting
Thanks to all the parishioners who attended and participated in last Sunday's annual meeting. Special thanks to Vestry families for providing and serving the delicious brunch. It was a great opportunity to celebrate and share all that has been happening and all that's in the works for the future. Thanks to Christy Parker for her wonderful photos. You can see all of Christy's photos from the events on the All Saints website.

If you'd like to get another look at Phil Wasmuth's "year-in-review" slideshow which was shown at the meeting, you can see it on his website here.

Congratulations to Dave Knox, Don Holm, and Dianne Wasmuth, the newest members of the All Saints' Vestry. Delegates to convention are James Cross, Carolyn Hoffman, and Andy Milligan. Jim Bullitt was elected alternate delegate. Special thanks to Susan Dean Olson and Ralph Cornwell, who completed their terms on the Vestry. The diocese has granted a one-year extention in terms to Warden Lee White and Jr. Warden John Foster so that they may help in the transition to our new Rector.
Valetine Tea
Here are a few
some moments from this year's Tea. Thanks to

Terri Colby for the photos.

Ted's Sermon's Available Online

Even if you aren't in the pews on Sunday, you don't have to miss Ted's message. Thanks to Ralph Simons, sermons are now available in MP3 format to download off of the All Saints' website. Take a listen... and thank you, Ralph!

Youth Group Events

Shrove Tuesday Dinner

On March 4, The All Saints' Youth Group is serving a Pancake Dinner from 5:30 to 7pm. Dinner includes homemade pancakes (gluten free available), sausage, dessert and beverages. Admission is free but donations will be welcomed. Parishioners are encouraged to contribute fruit salad and maple syrup. (Sign up in the undercroft). Bring your friends, family and neighbors. This is a fundraiser for their Mission trip to Boston in April.

CityReach Trip - Used Clothing Needed

Members of the youth group will be participating in CityReach, an overnight urban outreach program on the weekend of April 11. They will have an opportunity to learn firsthand about homelessness from people who have experienced it. Prior to the trip, they will be gathering together used  clean clothing to take with them. There will be a collection bin at the back of the church for donations for comfortable, rugged clothing, mostly men's large sizes, spring to summer weight.  Hooded sweatshirts and sweat pant are good examples.

- Don Holm

Treasurer's Request

The Treasurer's office would like to request parishioners put their envelope number on their checks. This would assist the team greatly and save time.

Outreach Luncheon 2/27

The next outreach luncheon is on Thursday February 27th at Noon. Donations of scalloped potatoes are needed, if you can help out, please contact Mary Haeger at 569-5739.

AMTP Fundraiser Cancelled

The Appalachian Mountain Teen Project fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, February 22nd at All Saints has been cancelled due to illness. More information about a possible rescheduling will be forthcoming.

Caregivers of Southern Carroll County

Caregivers of Southern Carroll County is in need of drivers. This group is a non profit in town that provides rides for medical appointments to hospitals and doctors. You can choose how much or how little you wish to participate. You can also choose if you wish to stay local or drive longer distances. If you are interested, please contact Shirley Bentley at 569-3714.

From the Music Corner

This is the last week we formally celebrate Black History month.... may our gracious God enable us to continue remembering and celebrating peoples from all cultures and walks of life, this month and all the months to come.    Musical selections from the gospel genre open our 10 AM service this Sunday, with instrumental pieces "Ev'ry Time I Feel The Spirit" and "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot".   Enjoy!

Newsflash:

Your choir is already preparing for a Lenten "lessons and carols" service on Sunday, March 30th.  We have invited choral singers from Gina's church to join us as well! Entitled "None Other Lamb", the program involves an anthem set to words from Christina Rosetti's poem, which will be read, then sung. (You can hear it at this link:   http://www.jwpepper.com/None-Other-Lamb/1658756.item#.UvLq4_ldV8E -  A good listen.) There will be Scripture readings, and a dramatic poetry reading, as well as several selections from The Messiah (prompted by the positive learning experience many of us are having in our current study on "The Messiah" with Ted and Gina).   If you enjoy singing, and desire to join us, we would welcome you!

The four rehearsals are Sundays:  Feb 23rd, March 9th, 16th and 23rd from  11:40 AM to 1 PM (grab a snack at coffee hour).
