Election Day Bake Sale

Tuesday is the special election for Ray Burton's seat and our ECW will be holding their traditional bake sale. Please bake an item and drop off either Monday or Tuesday morning. Thank you.

Valetine Victorian Tea

Hallelujah...the Bible and Handel's Messiah, a course that will be led by Ted and Gina will start of Tuesday (4:00 - 5:30 pm), January 28th in the Library. Hallelujah explores the scriptural texts of Handel's Messiah from Advent into Easter. Each week we will look at a section of the oratorio score and the scripture passage it quotes. We will discuss the historical context of it, talk about the way the music enhances the interpretation of it and share our own reflections. It is recommended that all participants purchase the book, Hallelujah...the Bible and Handel's Messiah by Carol Bechtel. If you would like a copy of the book and participate in this class, please contact the church office at 569-3453 or  allsaints@metrocast.net.

Easter Sunday Worship Times

Ted would like the parish's thoughts on the time for the 2nd Easter Service for All Saints. Since we are now sharing our building with the 1st Congregational Church, they will be holding a 9 am service. Our usual 8 am service will be held at 7:30 am and our later service will either be held at 10:30 am or 11:00 am, whichever the congregation prefers. Parking and allowing the 1st Congregational church enough time for their service are concerns. Please speak to Ted or contact the office to let us know which time will work best.

Valetine Victorian Tea

Our preschool will be holding the annual Victorian Valentine Tea on Saturday 2/8/14 at 2 pm. Tickets are $10. Tea sandwiches and sweets. Fresh flower bouquet making and Valentine crafts. Door prizes and raffles. We are also looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen, to serve and to run the dishwasher. Please contact the church office for tickets and information. Thank you.

Thanks from Donna

A big thank you for all of the prayers, calls and cards. It helped tremendously with my surgery and ongoing recuperation. I am so fortunate to be part of this parish. Thank you, Donna Young

No Outreach Luncheon

There is no outreach luncheon in January, sorry for the misprint.

Annual Reports

It is that time of year when reports need to be generated from all church groups for our annual meeting. Please get your thoughts together and forward these reports to Donna at the church office (allsaints@metrocast.net) . Thank you.

ECW (Episcopal Church Women) Annual Meeting

** Please note change of date **

The meeting is being held Wednesday, January 29th at 10:00 a.m. in the library.

Did you know that you are a member automatically if you are 1) a woman and 2) an Episcopalian? Our group, originally called the Women's Auxiliary to the Board of Missions, was started in 1871. We are not your "grandmother's organization" (though some are grandmothers). We are all ages, ethnic origins and socioeconomic backgrounds with the common denominator of the love of God and the wish to do His work. We aspire to be a "Godspark" shining and sharing the love of Christ.

Wow! And how do we do that?  We fund raise creatively to support our Community Outreach and All Saints. This year we had a kitchen tour to replace our long lived "Holiday Fair." We work in concert with the Vestry in Church functions (as in the visit of the Bishop on Palm Sunday). We support the Life Ministries Food Pantry, Caregivers of Southern Carroll County, VNA Hospice, All Saints Pre-school, Families in Need, the Kingswood Youth Center, and many more. At our annual meeting in January we will assess our support for the coming year, plan our meetings and Election Day Bake Sale.

Please join us that morning. We would welcome your ideas and your company. Any questions, contact Prue Fitts (569-2426).

Food Pantry Needs

Thank you for remembering Life Ministries Food Pantry. We welcome donations of non-perishable items. Please place them in the basket in the narthex. Other items needed are supplies for babies and mothers (diapers size 3-5, wipes, toothbrushes/paste, personal hygiene items, shampoo and clothing for children).
