Blessing of the Toys
This past Sunday, toys were blessed at church. In place of the sermon, the congregation suggested Christmas hymns that were then sung by the congregation. Our terrific choir director led the congregation with the hymns.

Kudos to Nancy Thomas!
Kudos to Nancy Thomas for the remarkable design outside the church school rooms.

Advent to Christmas displays are headed by gorgeous calligraphy noting the themes, Expect a Miracle, Perfectly loved by God, and Outrageous Love.

Isaiah's prophecy is retold in kid-friendly language and the whole progression is beautifully done, leading to the big nativity mural at the end of the hallway.

Nancy does fine work with a small and variable population of wonderful children! If you have not had an occasion to wander by, make it a point to do so.

First Night Thanks
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the First Night Spaghetti & Meatball dinner a success. This was the first Spaghetti supper, & everyone who ate was very complimentary. The servers even received a tip from someone!!

The net profit was $940.

Thanks to those "angels" who donated cash towards the purchase of the ingredients. This was very successful and noone had to do extra shopping. Many thanks to the set-up crew, kitchen crew, servers & dishwashers.

ECW (Episcopal Church Women) Annual Meeting

The meeting is being held Tuesday, January 28th at 10:00 a.m.

Did you know that you are a member automatically if you are 1) a woman and 2) an Episcopalian? Our group, originally called the Women's Auxiliary to the Board of Missions, was started in 1871. We are not your "grandmother's organization" (though some are grandmothers). We are all ages, ethnic origins and socioeconomic backgrounds with the common denominator of the love of God and the wish to do His work. We aspire to be a "Godspark" shining and sharing the love of Christ.

Wow! And how do we do that?  We fund raise creatively to support our Community Outreach and All Saints. This year we had a kitchen tour to replace our long lived "Holiday Fair." We work in concert with the Vestry in Church functions (as in the visit of the Bishop on Palm Sunday). We support the Life Ministries Food Pantry, Caregivers of Southern Carroll County, VNA Hospice, All Saints Pre-school, Families in Need, the Kingswood Youth Center, and many more. At our annual meeting in January we will assess our support for the coming year, plan our meetings and Election Day Bake Sale.

Please join us that morning. We would welcome your ideas and your company. Any questions, contact Prue Fitts (569-2426).

Annual Reports

It is that time of year when reports need to be generated from all church groups for our annual meeting. Please get your thoughts together and forward these reports to Donna at the church office (allsaints@metrocast.net) . Thank you.

Food Pantry Needs

Thank you for remembering Life Ministries Food Pantry. We welcome donations of non-perishable items. Please place them in the basket in the narthex. Other items needed are supplies for babies and mothers (diapers size 3-5, wipes, toothbrushes/paste, personal hygiene items, shampoo and clothing for children).
