Kingswood Theater Presents: Legally Blonde!

Don't miss Kingswood Theater's fall musical, Legally Blonde!  It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend Warner. She discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others, and successfully defends exercise queen Brooke Wyndham in a murder trial.  It's funny, with great music and dancing!  Scott Giessler is directing and Adria Miller, daughter of Melissa Heath and Gregg Miller, is in the cast.  Shows are Nov. 22 and 23 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Kingswood Arts Center. Tickets are available at Black's and online at www.kingswoodtheater.com. Come, support our high school youth and be entertained. (Please note that some material may  not be suitable for young young children.)

Free Vision Screening 11/22

The Wolfeboro Lions Club will be visiting All Saints' Preschool on November 22nd at 10 am to offer a free vision screening to the children.

Any child in the area is eligible for this free screening. It is open to all children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years. This screening is done with a Welch Allyn Sure Sight vision machine, there is no contact with the child and no eye drops are used.

This is a community service offered by the Lions and tests can detect common vision problems including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, strabismus, anismometropia, and cataracts, any of which can deter a child's intellectual and or physical growth process. Tests are interpreted by eye specialists Lori and Steve Kirwan of Wolfeboro Eye Associates. If you are interested, our preschool has permission slips that need to be filled out and returned.

Final Opportunity to Contribute

Sunday is the last day to contribute to the Wolfeboro Area Armed Forces Support Group who are collecting items for their local troops who are in Afghanistan, other countries and serving stateside. They are collecting Christmas decorations, travel size toiletries for men and women, pony tail elastics, individual snack items, granola bars, cliff bars, protein bars, crackers, candy, mind teaser games, magazines (fitness, road and track, sports for men and women), tea bags, hot chocolate, powder flavored water packets, etc. The collection box is in the parish hall.

Diocese Survey on Branding/Marketing

The newly formed Branding/Marketing Team invites your participation in the early stages of our discernment process. During 2014 we will host conversations around the diocese for sharing perceptions and opinions about our values and attributes as a diocese. This year-long project is intended to improve and refine our communications and enable us to match our messaging to our mission. Information and updates will be posted periodically on the diocesan website. The team welcomes your responses to a very brief survey.
