Napkin Rings Under Way!

The congregation's desire to become better acquainted socially gave birth to "Napkin Rings",  'round robin' dinner gatherings at various members' homes. Al & Wilma Greymont hosted the first meal earlier this month. Phil & Dianne Wasmuth hosted Don & Karin Hargy, Art & Lynne Slocum, and Al & Wilma Greymont on August 19th. Phil, whose photos are below, reports that both dinners were very enjoyable.

Meditation Group

The Meditation Group will be meeting on Wednesday, August 28th at 7 p.m. in the library for their August meeting.

ELRHC Fundraiser

The Eastern Lakes Region Housing Coalition is selling beautiful Fall Mums to support its on-going educational programs.  These are beautiful nursery-grown plants in large 8 inch pots, ready for pick up on Saturday, August 31.  If you would like to order some of these beautiful plants for your own garden, please speak with Carolyn Sundquist, Louise Graham, Donna Young, or Jane Milligan, for ordering information.  Order forms are posted on the bulletin board in the Undercroft.

Caregivers Drivers Needed

Caregivers of Southern Carroll County is in need of drivers. This group is a non profit in town that provides rides for medical appointments to hospitals and doctors. You can choose how much or how little you wish to participate. You can also choose if you wish to stay local or drive longer distances. If you are interested, please contact Shirley Bentley at 569-3714.

Clambakes

Plans are coming together nicely for the clambakes that will be held on 3 consecutive Friday's (6th, 13th, & 20th) after Labor Day in September.

The clambakes will be prepared by our Rector  and the money raised ($50 per person) will go directly into our church budget. Each host will have a basket for the donations.  Checks should be made out to All Saints' Church. On the memo part of the check indicate clambake, so that our Treasurer, Don Hargy, will know which line item in the budget will get the deposit.

Each of the three hosts will coordinate with those attending their clambakes. So, if you are attending a clambake your host will contact you, or feel welcome to contact your host.  Each clambake will need French Bread, salad, appetizer, and a light desert. There will be a lot of food, so please bring a plastic container to take some home. Plan to bring your own beverage.  Each host will have a large tub of ice to store bottles, that you can take home.   If you have a date conflict, then please contact people from other clambakes about trading dates.

The clambake will consist of: new potatoes; small onions; corn on the cob; artichokes; Italian sweet sausage; Portuguese chorizo, lobsters, clams, mussels, asparagus, various spices, garlic, clam boil, etc.  Ted has the recipe and has done this many times.  Of course it is a financial fund raiser for our church, but the sense of community will be much greater than money raised for our church budget.

The three clambakes will take place at and on:

Rector Search Committee Update

The Rector Search Committee is on-track with the time frames announced last spring. The rector position has been posted regionally and nationally.  The Diocese has begun receiving profiles submitted by candidates and forwarding profiles to the Search Committee. We will be conducting Skype interviews with candidates within the next few weeks.

If you have not done so already we invite you to check out the completed parish profile on the All Saints' website:   http://www.wolfesaints.com/parish-profile/ This is provides prospective candidates with a picture of All Saints.

If any members of All Saints' know of priests who they think might be a fit with All Saints', now would be the time to encourage them to consider submitting their candidate credentials to Hannah Anderson, Canon to the Ordinary at the Diocese of New Hampshire.
