Welcome to the Heibel Media Newsletter
April 2015

March flew by with lots of exciting activity.  April will be intense as I finish two somethings, start three somethings and resume something.  What does all that mean?  Read on.

Let me recap March a moment.  It is ALWAYS exciting to release a new book and my 5th book and second collection of short stories was released March 13!  Will You Please Listen, Please? was launched at the Great Lakes Authors Expo at the West Michigan Women's Expo in downtown Grand Rapids.  I sold dozens of books and was very happy with that as I worked with 30 other authors.

The Write 365 Initiative ends April 10 and I'm on track to complete year 2 without missing a day!  The 500,000 Word Challenge took a hit with the expo.  Read below to find out about that.

So much more excitement in April coming, so read on fellow readers and writers!

Thanks for your support!

THE NEW BOOK
Will You Please Listen, Please
AVAILABLE NOW!

How well do you listen?  These stories are based on communication with ourselves and others-how we listen and how we don't often hear.

TWENTY EIGHT stories written over the past two years and three stories from my college years.  The three returning stories are included because they were "revisited" with new stories following up on those stories.

The book's stories all have the same thread of looking at how we communicate with ourselves and others.

On the Facebook Page I've already revealed interesting tidbits about the first two
stories, The Squashing of a Toad and "Shit!  I'm Dead!"
Watch the Facebook Page for updates, previews and excerpts!

 As I Write:  My Blog

Every Tuesday and Friday at 10:30 a.m. I post an article about writing.  It may be what I'm working on or something about stories and writing in general.  It's a fun and interesting look at how a writer looks at things.  I'm looking for people to read the blog, comment on the articles and follow my blog.

Here are the topics from March:

MY FIRST FULL LENGTH NOVEL
REUNION is Available NOW!

Front Cover of Reunion

Pam Mondy leaves her abusive husband Ray only to have him die before she leaves.  Five years later, Steve Thorndyke, a naive medium returns Ray's soul to the world of the living.  While Pam and her second husband Ron Candleson reunite with his children at a Michigan State Park Campground, Ray prepares to reunite with his cheating wife while Steve plans to reunite with Ray and prevent his terrible vengeance.

FROM  REUNION:

The blonde looked at Steve and he knew that she knew.

"Five years.  Seems like just yesterday," she whispered to him.

She followed her friend and Doug into the kitchen where they pulled on their boots at the door.  Steve stared at the blonde.  What could he say?  No one would believe him anyway.

The three pulled their coats on.  When the door opened, a strong gust reached in grabbed Steve, rushing a chill up his spine. Doug and the brunette pushed outside, but the blonde held back.  She smiled at him and looked straight at him.

"Thanks for the ride.  Maybe when I'm done, I'll see you on the other side."

She winked, turned and stepped out the door, pulling it shut tightly behind her.  Steve stood and listened as the Ram roared to life.  He turned and looked out at the swirling snow out the window.  Headlights flashed in the window briefly.

How long could he possess her?  Steve wondered.  Ray had no life line connecting him to her body.  What were the chances that Pam was still around where Ray could find her?   His chances of reuniting with her were slim to none.  But if he did?

The truck turned left and headed south, its red taillights glowing through the snow.  Steve didn't know the girl's name and he was sure Doug didn't either.  Ray was lost to him.  He had to find Pam and warn her.  Because if he could find her, so could Ray.
