Happy New Year!


What a year 2014 was!  I didn't quite hit the 500K word goal,  but I wrote every single day of the year and produced 1,953 new pages!

The year saw the publication of Reunion and the completion of 1st drafts of When Love Breaks Down and Metal Harvest the first book of a fantasy trilogy.  It also saw the production of 21 short stories, a handful of them finished.  I also wrote 104 blog columns!

This past year I celebrated the successful completion of my second annual National Novel Writing Month competition too!

Lots to look forward to this year too!  January 15 I'll be one of five authors speaking at the Cascade Branch of the Kent District Library. I'll be talking about what writing means to me and how I manage my muse.

In March, I'm bringing the Great Lakes Authors Expo to the West Michigan Women's Expo.  If I can get it done, Will You Please Listen, Please? will debut at the expo and if not will be released 4-14-15.

Plus, I plan to finish Soul Bearer Harvest and start Magi Harvest books 2 and 3 of the fantasy trilogy.  The first book, Metal Harvest, I plan to take through a second draft.  Depending on the timing, the first book will be out late this year or early 2016.

So lots to look forward to!  And lots to look back on.  See the results of the 2014 500K Word Challenge and the first 265 days of the Write 365 Initiative!

Introducing:  Great Lakes Authors!

Great Lakes Authors is a diverse collection of independent authors from the Great Lakes area that are banding together to promote our books which represent a wide range of non-fiction and fiction titles.  As a group we'll be featured at the West Michigan Women's Expo in downtown Grand Rapids at DeVos Place March 13-15.  We'll be promoting the Great Lakes Authors Expo featuring our authors and their books.  We have 15 authors lined up and have room for more.  If you are an author with a self-published book for sale, take a look at what we're doing at www.greatlakesauthors.org.
