Welcome to the Heibel Media Newsletter
September 2014

In this issue there's BIG news about Reunion as well as a new short story for September.  I'm also excited to report I am fairly confident my 3rd novel and 6th book, as yet an untitled contemporary drama should be done with a first draft this month!

Also, we're two month's away from NaNoWriMo--National Novel Writing Month.  I'm going to once again take the challenge to write at least the first 50,000 words of a new novel, the second in The Metal Saga Fantasy Trilogy in the month of November.

Also, I'm considering starting a Writer's Group comprised of writers AND readers.  It'd be a discussion group where writers can share their work and readers can get new material to read and talk about the material with authors.  I'm gauging interest so if the idea intrigues you, let me know via email lawrence@heibelmedia.com

September 18 I'll be a featured Author at the Saranac Public Library selling and signing my books.  More info below!

Speaking of libraries, Overture to Rain and Termination Notice are on the shelves at two Kent District Branch Libraries!

100% Completion of the Write 365 Initiative in August with 31 of 31 days having at least 1 new page written. Made a small dent in the shortage with the 500K goal by writing 42,970 words in August, which leaves me 22,956 words under goal!

See all the progress below.

REUNION   Available 11.4.14

More than 30 years ago I wrote a novel titled Stranger on the Beach.  I've since revised and updated it and called it Reunion.

The novel tells the tale of Pam Candleson and husband Ron.  The story begins five years in the past when Pam, then Pam Mondy, leaves her abusive husband Ray to start a new life with Ron who leaves his wife and two kids behind.  After confronting her husband, he dies in a terrible manner.

Front Cover of Reunion

In present day, Steve Thorndyke is a young man who travels back and forth from the Void between life and death.  He travels there to help a boyhood friend only to be possessed by Ray Mondy's spirit.  Ray is hell bent on revenge against his wife and her lover for his death.  Ray escapes Steve and disappears.

Six months later, Ray resurfaces at Bay Haven State Park when Ron and Pam show up there for a vacation reunion with Ron's two children, now teenagers.  Steve also resurfaces there in the hopes that he can thwart the terrible vengeance Ray has in store for the unwitting Candlesons.
