Welcome to the Heibel Media Newsletter
July 2014

Why do summer months fly by while the winter months drag?  June is history and what a month it was!

  • I posted my 150th blog post with the release of the back cover of  Reunion.
  •  I missed a story release due to creative issues with a story.
  • I wrote two new short stories that revisit two stories I wrote in 1988.
  • I finished the first draft of the fantasy novel and titled it Metal Harvest.
  • I revised 114 pages of material, 87 pages of Reunion and two short stories.
  • I wrote every single day in June totaling 43,783 words or 187 new pages!

When I summarize all this I see why the month flew by!

Read on and enjoy my stories!

New Short Story Wind in the Wires Revisited Now Available!

In 1981 I wrote a story called The Wind in the Wires which tells the story of an 8 year-old boy's confrontation of a childhood fear.  I rewrote the story in 1988 and wrote a companion story called When Monsters Die that tells the same story from the monster's perspective.

This month I finished a short story called Wind in the Wires Revisited which tells the story of the boy, now 52 and back in his boyhood home facing the same childhood fear.  I also am finishing up When Monsters Die Revisited which tells the same story from the monsters perspective.

This month I am re-releasing The Wind in the Wires and releasing Wind in the Wires Revisited with it.  In August, I'll release the Monster's stories.

For those of you wondering about The Glass Man, I hope to have that story offered up for September.
