Every day, construction workers leave home to build our homes, our businesses and our bridges. By day's end, not all of them will return. Each year, hundreds of workers die and thousands more suffer serious injuries because they fell and lacked the right safety equipment or knowledge to prevent it.

State courthouse tops out as opening nears
San Diego's latest civic landmark building, the $555 million San Diego Central Courthouse, passed another milestone Wednesday, April 20, when more than 650 construction workers attended a traditional topping-out ceremony.

Chargers give first look at
stadium-convention center project
"This is a conceptual design intended to convey the Chargers' vision for what the stadium and convention center expansion could look like," the Chargers stated. "The final design will be the result of a design process conducted with the Joint Powers Authority, the City or other governmental entity designated by the City to coordinate the construction of the stadium and convention center expansion." San Diego voters would have to approve the stadium-center expansion project if it makes it on the ballot.
