Satellite images comparing Oct. 1, 2015, and Oct. 2, 1997, show large areas of white, which indicate high sea levels -- a reflection of high sea temperatures. The images show how this year's El Nino could be as powerful as the one in 1997, the strongest El Nino on record.

Dear Diary

Wife's Diary:

Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet for dinner. I was a little late and thought he was upset about that. I asked what was wrong. He said he wasn't upset, it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it. I told him I loved him.
He didn't say, "I love you, too."
