Winners of the Spec Mix Bricklayer 500
The 2015 Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 "World's Best Bricklayer" award was
Fred Campbell from Creative Masonry in Greeneville, Tennesee.
Campbell, a six time competitor and winner in 2013, layed a total of
743 bricks in the allotted time, winning a new Ford F-250 truck.
Garrett Hood from Huntley Brothers Co. Inc., Monroe, NC won second
place and the coveted "Top Craftsman" Award (723 bricks).
Placing third was Brian Wade of Wade Masonry, Stanton, KY (666 bricks)

MCAA Honors Top Masons
Once again the Mason Contractors Association of America brought the country's best journeyman masons and masonry apprentices together to compete in the renowned "Fastest Trowel on the Block Competition and Masonry Skills Challenge".
Arcadio Armenta and tender, Guadalupe Aragon, of Sutter Masonry Inc. in El Mirage, AZ won first place for the Fastest Trowel, taking home $8,000 and prizes.
Alvaro Landaverde, also from Sutter Masonry Inc. won second place and
Irvin Willoughby of Pascal Robertson Masonry in Sorrento, FL, placed third.

Murphy stood beside the puddle holding a stick with a string on the end, jiggling it up and down in the water.
A curious gentleman walking by stopped and asked what he was doing.
"Fishing," replied Murphy.
"Poor old fool," thought the gentleman pityingly.
So he invited Murphy to have a drink in the pub.
