You know you are living in 2014 when...
...You accidentally enter your PIN on the microwave.
...You haven't played Solitaire with real cards in years.
...You have 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.
...You e-mail your co-worker at the next desk.
...You no longer stay in touch with friends and family because they're not on Facebook.
...You pull into your driveway and use your mobile phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.
...Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't even have the first 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you go back to get it.
...You wake up in the morning and go online before getting your coffee.
You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : )

The 15 will be open for the
Labor Day Weekend, but
Resumes 9-2-14
This phase will lay down new concrete that is expected to last as long as 40 years along a 5-mile stretch of northbound lanes. Caltrans expects the longer lifespan to be a money-saver in terms of maintenance and replacement costs. The downside is that it takes longer for the concrete to cure, Havins said.
