Ever get bored by the same old holiday closing messages?
Yeah, so do we.
So here's the deal:
We're not going to be here on Friday, July 4th & 5th because the boss said we don't have to be.
We like our jobs but it is a Holiday.
So, in celebration of our country's independence, we are going to eat BBQ, watermelon, popsicles, hotdogs, hamburgers, etc. etc. Maybe not all at once but we'll get to everything eventually.
But don't worry, we will have recovered by Monday the 7th at which time we will be happy to help you.
But until then, enjoy your holiday, spend some quality time with family and friends, and above all, be safe.
Thank You,
"The Gang" at Hub Construction Specialties, Inc.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said this week that his chamber would likely only approve a highway bill that lasts for "some number of months." Transbay Transit Center Construction
Reaches Halfway Point
Workers officially broke ground on the transit center in 2010, beginning with the demolition of the old Transbay Terminal. Nearly four years later, the site still looks like a 1,500-foot-long chasm, buttressed by dozens of huge steel tubes. But that will change soon. According to the Transbay Joint Powers Authority, construction is at about the halfway point. After two years of underground work, the above-ground portion of the building will begin to take shape this fall.

Making Lemonade
The local bar patrons were so sure that their bartender was the strongest man around that they offered a standing $1,000 bet. The bartender would squeeze a lemon until all the juice ran into a glass and hand the lemon to a patron. Anyone who could squeeze out one more drop would win the money.
Contractors, weightlifters, longshoremen and other powerful men had tried over time, but nobody could do it.
One day, a scrawny little man came into the bar, wearing thick glasses and a polyester suit.
"I'd like to try the bet," he said in a tiny voice.
After the laughter died down, the bartender grabbed a lemon, squeezed away, and then handed the wrinkled remains to the little man.
As the crowd fell silent, the man gripped the lemon and six drops fell into the glass. Cheers erupted and the bartender paid the man $1,000.
"So, tell me," asked the bartender, "what do you do for a living? Are you a lumberjack? A weightlifter, or what?"
"No," the man replied. "I work for the IRS."
