Milwaukee Bucks

Last Tuesday, the Wisconsin State Assembly adopted the same financing proposal for a Milwaukee Bucks arena the Senate adopted the prior week.  The legislation is currently awaiting action by the Governor.

Equalized Value Figures Released
On Friday, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue released equalized value numbers for 2014. Statewide, the value of real and personal property increased two percent. Detailed information for each county can be found here.

Government Accountability Board Changes on the Horizon
One issue Republicans have indicated they will take up during the fall legislative session is changes to the Government Accountability Board. The Wisconsin State Journal ran a story on the issue on Sunday, August 2. Municipal clerks indicated concerns regarding the timing of the changes in the wake of the 2016 elections.
