This Week in the Legislature: Week of July 27, 2015

Last week was a quiet week in the Wisconsin State Capitol. The Assembly is expected to go on the floor Tuesday to adopt a financing proposal for a new arena for the Milwaukee Bucks.

The WCA Government Affairs Team completed its final 2015-17 state biennial budget summary last week.  See the WCA summary here.

WCA, in coordination with the Wisconsin County Treasurers' Association and the Wisconsin Real Property Listers Association, has requested from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue a one-year waiver from a state budget provision mandating additional information be placed on property tax bills.  WCA will keep the membership informed on any updates.

With the legislature out of session, the WCA Government Affairs Team is working on preparations for the fall floor period that begins on September 15.
