WCA Website Highlights State Budget Updates
The past few weeks, WCA has spent many hours at the Capitol as the Joint Finance Committee has made their way through the state budget.

WCA 2nd VP; Presidential Appointments to Board; Steering Committee Applications Now Being Accepted
Nominations are currently being accepted for the position of Second Vice-President of the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA).  The 2013 WCA Nominating Committee, appointed by President Gus Wirth, will meet in August or early September to recommend a slate of officers for 2013-2014.

In addition, there are various opportunities to serve as presidential appointments to the WCA Board, as well as to WCA Steering Committees.

Now is the time to get active in the National Association of Counties (NACo) by joining a steering committee! 

If you have interest in a specific issue, expertise on a certain topic, or concerns about the impact of federal legislative and policy decisions on your county, then you should consider joining one of NACo's policy steering committees.

County Mutual and Group Health Trust Scholarship Opportunities

WCA Executive Director Mark O'Connell recently hosted a radio show on WISN in Milwaukee, with Joint Finance Committee Co-Chair Representative John Nygren as his guest.
