Congratulations to graduates at all of our Clarke locations!

May was Better Hearing and Speech Month, and it was filled with insightful and inspirational links to videos and articles which we posted daily to our Facebook page. From a Charlie Rose roundtable about hearing loss, to four-year-old Chloe explaining her cochlear implants, they are worth checking out.

On Sunday, June 1 Clarke PA celebrated the unofficial start of summer at the Flourtown Swim Club. Over 30 families from our early intervention, preschool, and mainstream programs joined in the fun. Everyone had such a great time that families were already asking about doing it all again next year. We too, can't wait to host it again! Read more about the Summer Kickoff here.

Hear Me Out, Clarke's blog for itinerant teachers and other professionals working with children who are deaf and hard of hearing, had a great post called Justification for Teacher of the Deaf Services in which the importance of teachers of the deaf is discussed. Bookmark the blog or add it to your CSS reader to stay in the loop.

Clarke is excited to announce that we have runners participating on behalf of Clarke in both the Falmouth Road Race on Aug. 17, and the NYC Marathon on Nov. 2. Because each runner has pledged to raise money as they compete, please support them by making donations to Clarke through their fundraising pages. Good luck to all our runners and thank you for your support!

"Thank you for everything. This experience has changed our lives. [Clarke has] the best staff. If we could stay forever we would. I will never forget the way you all welcomed us at such a time of need. We are forever grateful and will be back to visit A LOT."
-Vanessa Rome, New York Parent

Clarke's continuum of services includes Infant-Toddler Programs, Preschool Programs, Mainstream Services, and Professional Development and Trainings. Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As an IRS qualified charity, gifts to Clarke are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
At Clarke we help children who are deaf and hard of hearing learn to listen and talk. Children served by Clarke use advanced technologies, including cochlear implants and hearing aids, to maximize their access to sound. We work with children and their families from infancy through their teen years. Our teachers of the deaf, audiologists, and speech pathologists have the background, training, and experience to prepare children academically and socially for a world of limitless possibilities. Clarke children listen and learn in the classroom, run and laugh with their friends on the playground, and have lives filled with music, sports, family, and community. Many children who come to Clarke are ready to attend their neighborhood mainstream schools by kindergarten.
