Mom, Mommy, Mama, Ma

   There are many names for a mother, but no matter what you call her, you only have one. A mother loves her child unconditionally from the moment of giving birth. Most women will say that the birth of their first child was the best moment in their lives. Cutting the umbilical cord severs you physically from your mother, but you are forever connected emotionally and mentally. A mother wants to hear about your life, your thoughts, and your feelings.  A mother wipes away your tears, and holds you in her heart, through all of your years.

  Mothers Day is a time to reflect on how your mother has helped you to become who you are. It is a time to share with her the memories you have of the ways she showed her love for you. Write a "Love Note" to your mother sharing your thoughts and reflections of her. This is the greatest gift that you can give her. It cost nothing but your time and love. When my mother died a few years ago, I found a box filled with all of her children's "love notes" for over 60 years. My mom treasured my thoughts and so will yours. Happy Mother's Day!
