Toasted Cheese Pita Chips
Yield: 36 pieces
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 pita bread rounds
3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Preparation:
1) Preheat oven to 350˚F.
2) Melt butter in a small microwave bowl covered with paper towel 10 seconds at a
time. Stir until smooth.
3) Split pita bread rounds in half horizontally.
4) Lightly brush the cut side of each pita bread half with butter.
5) Cut each half into 6 wedges.
6) Sprinkle with grated cheese.
7) Bake in oven about 10 minutes or until crisp.
8) Cool.
Notes:
- Can be stored at room temperature for up to 1 week in an airtight container.
- You can make these a sweet snack by sprinkling with cinnamon sugar rather than cheese.

Fresh Fruit Dip
Yield: 6 servings
Ingredients:
1 8-ounce vanilla low-fat yogurt
¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon, nutmeg, or ginger
3 cups assorted fresh fruit, such as pineapple chunks, strawberries, apple slices, peach slices, grapes
Preparation:
1) In a small bowl stir together yogurt, applesauce, and spice.
2) Cut fruit into bite size pieces (chunks/slices).
3) To serve, spear fruit with decorative picks and dip into yogurt mixture.
