Whether Home or Business: Be Sure to Have Two Ways Out
When fire strikes, your home or business could be engulfed in smoke and flames in just a few minutes
It is important to have a fire escape plan that prepares your family - or your employees at your business - to think fast and get out quickly when the smoke alarm sounds. What if your first escape route is blocked by smoke or flames? That's why having two ways out is such a key part of your plan.
The National Fire Association has published escape planning tips. If a fire breaks out in your home, you may have only a few minutes to get out safely once the smoke alarm sounds. Everyone needs to know what to do and where to go if there is a fire.
And, if you are an agent or adjustor, assure that your customers are ready if the unthinkable happens. It's all about protecting your family, your life and your business. Be prepared!
