Britain leaving the EU Means Strong Dollar  - Travelling Abroad - Buy Inexpensive Travel Insurance

With Britain leaving the Eurozone, and the Dollar being so strong right now, many Americans will be traveling overseas and taking advantage of the great deals in Europe. If you are considering travel abroad, it is advisable to buy an inexpensive travel insurance policy.  Low cost travel insurance provides many benefits. In the event that something serious happens, it will pay for your medical transportation back to the United States. It also lets you avoid the hassle of having to translate the medical records and bills that incurred in a foreign country.

Travel insurance is especially important for Medicare Recipients, because Medicare does not cover medical expenses outside the United States.

What's new in the Health Insurance World?
Insurance Carriers have submitted their individual rates for 2017 to Covered CA

United Health Care has decided to leave both Covered California and the federal exchange;-however, as United Health Care played a minor role in California, the impact on Californians will not be significant.
Insurance Carriers have submitted their proposed 2017 individual health policies to Covered California, and the negotiations have begun. The final statewide rates for 2017 should be announced by the end of July. I will communicate those rates to you, as soon as they are available.
Many analysts are predicting significant higher premium increases than in 2016. Insurers now have more detailed information on the medical costs of enrollees under the Affordable Care Act, and several insurance carriers announcing losses in the individual insurance market.

We are currently in the Special Enrollment Period, so it is critical that you make sure your health insurance premium is paid. Remember that a lapsed health insurance policy due to non-payment is not a qualifying event that would allow you to reapply for health insurance in 2016.

Wishing you a wonderful Fourth of July! Enjoy the outside, barbecues, beach and the grant fireworks, relax and have fun with your family and friends.

Remember love, laughter and good times are the best medicine for you.
